Durston Arbour Press

The Durston Arbour Press is a durable and versatile manual press ideal for jewelry work, including bending, punching, riveting, squeezing, pressing in and removing bearings, and various other pressing jobs. It features a powder-coated cast iron body, a flat steel anvil for stable support, and should be mounted to a bench or pedestal for safety and stability. The press provides a maximum opening of 36mm. Its pinion-driven steel ram benefits from extra leverage provided by the long handle, making operation easy and efficient.

The durable gearing provides a 25:1 mechanical advantage; if you apply 50kg of force to the handle, the resulting pressure at the ram is 1250kg. Durston rates the press at a safe working load of 1 ton (1000kg), though actual capacity may exceed this. The base includes four countersunk holes for secure mounting, ensuring longevity and safe use in busy workshops.
