Use it for center punches, chasing punches, etc. The surface it not maintained and will show marks and dings, wich is fine because this tool is not used on jewelry metals themselves. The riveting face is a small cross peen. It is ideal for upsetting, or spreading the ends of rivets when cold-joning metals. This hammer needs no maintenance.
